Your Profile

As the successful Production Designer you will have proven experience working within a busy, fast paced production environment, with a creative flair for design and image sourcing. You will have the ability to hit the ground running within a hugely successful business, will be exceptionally organised, and very good with Indesign and Photoshop, using a PC. Indesign 5 would be a huge bonus!!  Ideally you will have a background working on Catalogues - in  Production and Design, having laying out a huge number of adverts, and pages, as well as processing images. As the Production Designer you will have excellent attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines. It is important that you are a first-rate all rounded team player, with a skilled balance between creativity with design, layout and also production.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to work across over 250 catalogues throughout the year, as well as a weekly paper, and supplements. You role as Production Designer will include processing and manipulating images, laying out adverts for over 400 clients, adhering to templates, guidelines and house style.  You will be an outstanding team player working in a team of 4, with lots of enthusiasm to grasp the role as quickly as possible.

The Company

The Production Designer Role is to work for a leading international arts publication, at an extremely exciting and promising time of expansion and development, based in an amazing location in Central London. You will need to be available to start work in 2 weeks. The role is temp to perm position. On a temp basis the role will be paying between &amp;#163;11-13 per hour, with the view to a perm salary between 22-24K.       <title>Senior Copywriter - Maternity contract</title>
      <description>My fabulous Beauty client based in Northampton are looking for a Senior Copywriter on a Maternity contract - up to 12 months. 

As a senior member of a large creative team, you'll need proven creative ability and strong communication skills at all levels, up to VP within Marketing, and to the Legal department, Sales and Marketing Support. 

You'll need strong negotiation skills and confidence to defend your copy to people at a high level within the company. You'll be a self starter, who can prioritise and effectively manage your time. You'll need strong inter-personal skills and the ability to get your voice heard in a busy environment

Job role 

Accountable for creative direction of all copy generation for Brochure, Representative Magazine, internet copy, and Special Projects Division. 

Responsible for management and development of three copywriters, and management of day-to-day workload of the team. 

Responsible for providing all copy on time, and giving it to the relevant departments, including the translating team..Keeping them up to date with all changes to ensure all brochures across the region have the same copy. 

Writing creative copy to meet brief requirements.

Presenting at and participating in reviews and other meetings relevant to production of print pieces. 

Ideas/stories generation and active participation in creative workshops.

Proven ability to writer clear, concise, factually correct copy, with an excellent grasp of grammar. Accountable for copy generation for assigned categories. Working with category managers to ensure a good understanding of category strategies and results. Responsibility to ensure all work meets the brief and is completed to schedule. Have a good understanding of competitor activity, latest trends and best practice. Working closely with Art Directors and Editors to ensure changes are actioned. Attend relevant review and present work to Senior Managers. Active participation in creative workshops and brainstorms.

Beauty / Fashion background is desirable
